I beer battered and fried some haddock and home made chips a little while back. Made my house smell terrible for a week but totally worth it.

I left it immersed in milk late last night, I'll leave it there for a few hour more and then to the oven it goes. Less messy but very nice.

I've heard people say they soak it in milk but I've never done it myself.
